Part-time Class Teacher with English Lead (TLR 2b) 3 days a week

Manor Infant and Nursery School in Portsmouth is seeking a part-time Class Teacher with English Lead (TLR 2b) to work three days a week, sharing the classroom with an existing colleague while taking responsibility for leading English across the school. The position is based in an inner-city setting where relationships with children and their families are central to the school’s approach.

Applicants should have at least three years’ experience in primary education, a sound understanding of how young children learn and the ability to lead the development of English teaching throughout the school and nursery. The role requires a strong pedagogical knowledge of primary education, a love of English and the capacity to inspire confident readers, writers and speakers. The successful candidate will monitor teaching practice, analyse data to set targets and feed back to staff, and demonstrate excellent organisational, communication and time-management skills.
