Procurement Business Officer

A Procurement Business Officer joins the frontline procurement team at NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership in Cwmbran, supporting the delivery of patient-centred services across the Aneurin Bevan region. The role works alongside the Procurement Business Manager to guide sourcing activities, develop specifications, evaluate tenders and maintain strong relationships with both internal departments and external suppliers, ensuring services remain responsive, cost-effective and aligned with national and local efficiency targets.

Applicants should hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent advanced procurement qualification and have practical experience interpreting contract law and managing stakeholder relationships. Essential skills include clear communication, collaborative working and the ability to produce accurate documentation using standard office software. Desirable attributes comprise Welsh language proficiency, strong organisational abilities and experience presenting complex data. The post is permanent, falls within Agenda for Change Band 4 and offers a salary of £28,819 to £31,626 per annum, with flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
