About this role

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Registered Nurse to join Bardfield Ward in Broomfield, Essex. The role is based on a 25-bed medical ward that cares for patients under 75 with acute conditions, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care from admission through to discharge. The position is offered on a permanent full- or part-time basis under a fixed-term contract of nine months, with a salary of £32,073 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) in accordance with the Agenda for Change pay scheme. Applicants must hold current NMC registration, have experience on a medical ward and be able to work without requiring an OSCE assessment.

The Trust values a supportive environment where nurses can develop clinical expertise, leadership skills and the opportunity to work with a capable team. The role involves providing individualised care, maintaining privacy and dignity, contributing to care programmes, supporting the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse, and ensuring clear communication with patients, relatives and the wider ward team. A Disclosure and Barring Service check is required, and sponsorship for skilled workers is considered. Applications must be submitted by 15 October 2026 via the original advert.
