About this role
An experienced registered nurse with a recognised qualification in contraception and sexual health is required to join the multi-professional team at the University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust in Brighton. The role is based at the Royal Sussex County Hospital and involves delivering a comprehensive, evidence-based service across three city sites and outreach programmes. The successful candidate will work autonomously within a team framework, assess and manage patient care, and provide sensitive support on issues such as STI results, pregnancy testing and sexual assault. Essential requirements include current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, post-registration experience at Band 5 level, and demonstrated competence in sub-dermal implant insertion or willingness to achieve it. A postgraduate teaching qualification and experience in safeguarding vulnerable young people are desirable.
