About this role

About this role The position is a Band 6 Community Mental Health Practitioner working within the Access Wellbeing Single Point of Access service in Dorchester. The role is part of a multidisciplinary team that offers telephone screening and triage, undertakes urgent face-to-face assessments and provides specialist advice on referral pathways and treatment options.

Essential qualifications include registration at degree level with post-registration specialist training or demonstrable extensive experience, together with a Learning and Assessing in Practice qualification or equivalent experience. Candidates must have experience working with adults in mental health, be competent in risk management and possess strong communication skills for conveying complex and sensitive information.

The post is permanent, offered on a part-time basis and carries a salary of £23,975 to £28,870 per annum. It provides opportunities for supervision, mentorship and training of junior staff, as well as participation in quality improvement, audit and research activities.
