Advanced Nurse Practitioner

About this role The position is a permanent Advanced Nurse Practitioner role within the Urgent Community Response Service at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust, based at Kennedy House in Clacton-On-Sea. The role involves undertaking rapid response assessments within two hours of referral, independently prescribing treatments, managing complex urgent care cases in community and care home settings, and delivering intensive support to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions.

The role requires a registered nurse with prescribing qualifications, proven experience in urgent care, and the ability to work autonomously while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Essential criteria include NMC registration, non-medical prescribing, a degree-level qualification supplemented by specialist training, and a full UK driving licence. Desirable experience includes service development, managing complex cases, and supervising others. The post offers a salary of £49,387 to £56,515 per annum under the Agenda for Change pay scheme, a permanent contract, 27 days of annual leave (pro rata), and access to training, development and NHS staff benefits.
