SET CAMHS Practitioner

The role is a full-time, permanent position within the SET-CAMHS Single Point of Access team in Colchester, Essex. The practitioner will screen and triage referrals, conduct clinical assessments and risk-evaluate cases, and help determine the most suitable care pathway for children and young people. Working closely with community CAMHS teams and partner agencies, the post supports timely, needs-led decision-making in line with the Thrive model. The post offers regular clinical supervision, reflective practice sessions and access to continuing professional development, with opportunities to shadow across the wider SET-CAMHS service.

Applicants must hold the necessary professional qualifications and registration required for CAMHS practice, and be able to demonstrate strong assessment, communication and decision-making abilities. Experience in managing a varied workload in a busy, multidisciplinary environment is essential. The role follows the Agenda for Change pay scale at Band 6, with a salary range of £39,959 to £48,117 per year.
