Assistant Practitioner - Community Respiratory Service

The role involves joining the integrated community respiratory team in Colchester to support the delivery of Pulmonary rehabilitation services. Working as part of a multidisciplinary group of nurses, physiotherapists and therapy staff, the position focuses on assisting with patient assessments, facilitating group sessions, managing equipment and guiding individuals through self-management techniques. The post is based at the North East Essex office on The Crescent and requires regular travel across the service area, making a full driving licence essential.

Candidates must have experience caring for adults or children in a health-related setting and demonstrate competence at a level equivalent to NVQ Level 2 or 3, together with basic literacy and numeracy. Desirable qualifications include additional relevant training, and a solid understanding of respiratory care principles, legislation and health-safety requirements is expected. The role offers a permanent, part-time position within Agenda for Change Band 3, with a salary of £24,625 to £25,674 per annum, pro-rated, and access to the NHS pension scheme, 27 days of annual leave and flexible working options.
