Faster Diagnosis Administrator

The Faster Diagnosis Administrator will work across Musgrove Park Hospital and Yeovil District Hospital in Taunton and Yeovil, Somerset, supporting the countywide cancer referral service. The role focuses on processing cancer referrals promptly to meet the 28 Day Faster Diagnosis Standard, liaising with GPs and clinical teams, managing patient information on PAS and eRS systems, booking appointments, and monitoring pathways to ensure timely care. The post holder will act as a first point of contact for patients, handling sensitive communications with empathy, and escalating any delays or risks to maintain service standards. The position involves 22.5 hours of work per week, ideally across Wednesday to Friday, with travel between the two sites required as part of the countywide service. This permanent role offers a salary of £25,760 to £27,476 per year, inclusive of Agenda for Change terms, and provides flexibility through part-time options ranging from 28 to 37.5 hours weekly.
