Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (SEND)

About this role The position is a permanent Band 7 role within the NHS Agenda for Change framework, based across schools in the Chelmsford and Colchester area of Essex. It is part of a specialist service that supports children and young people with complex speech, language and communication needs, including those requiring augmentative and alternative communication. The role involves leading service delivery in designated settings, managing a specialist caseload, and supervising therapists and assistants.

Applicants must hold a Speech and Language Therapy degree, be registered with the Health Professions Council, and have extensive experience in complex needs and AAC. Essential requirements include the ability to travel across sites and proficiency with SystmOne. A Disclosure and Barring Service check is mandatory, and sponsorship for a Skilled Worker visa is available for eligible candidates.
