Dental Nurse

A locum Dental Nurse is required to cover an assignment at the Ministry of Defence Dental Centre in Winchester, Hampshire. The role involves working 37.5 hours a week on a fixed-term basis, delivering clinical care to service personnel and maintaining accurate dental records. Responsibilities include preparing and sterilising instruments, operating the dental computing system, processing radiographs, managing patient appointments, and ensuring compliance with infection control and health-safety policies. The post requires full registration with the General Dental Council, current indemnity insurance, recent clinical practice of at least two sessions per week over the past fifteen months, and up-to-date qualifications in emergency procedures, safeguarding and exposure-prone disease clearance. Desirable experience includes prior work with the Ministry of Defence and a formal Dental Nurse qualification. The hourly rate is £19.54, with weekly pay and the possibility of extending the assignment beyond the initial six-week period.
