The role sits within the Radiotherapy Physics Group at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, leading a small team that delivers both high-dose-rate and low-dose-rate brachytherapy. Essential experience includes service development, research delivery, teaching, and management of staff, while registration as a Radiation Protection Advisor is desirable but training can be provided. The position offers a permanent contract under the Agenda for Change pay band 8b, with a salary of £66,582 to £77,368 per year, full-time or part-time hours and access to NHS discounts, a minimum of 35 days’ pro-rated holiday and a generous pension scheme.
