Healthcare Support Worker

The role involves supporting patients on busy adult and child wards and outpatient areas, working under the guidance of registered nurses. You will assist with personal care, undertake basic observations, update care documentation, and help move patients and equipment. The position is part of a development programme that supports progression from Band 2 to Band 3, with a pay increase upon successful completion of the training period. Permanent hours are available on a full-time or part-time basis, with shifts covering days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK for at least nine months, hold a completed Care Certificate or be able to complete it within six months, and possess secondary education and the ability to meet the physical demands of the role. Previous experience in an acute hospital, nursing home, volunteer sector, or as a teaching assistant is desirable but not essential.
