About this role
The role is an operational leadership position within the Active Recovery service at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based in Shefield, South Yorkshire. You will lead the development and delivery of a city-wide re-ablement team that provides rapid, time-limited support to people in crisis at home, working across primary, community, acute and social-care services. The post reports to senior managers in the service and care group and involves managing operational support managers, advanced clinical support workers and the scheduling and allocation team.
The employer seeks a professional therapist (physiotherapist or occupational therapist) or an experienced care manager with essential qualifications in their discipline, an undergraduate degree and evidence of continuous professional development. Essential experience includes significant operational or managerial leadership at Band 7 level or equivalent, proven change-management projects, community-team experience and strategic development knowledge. Desirable experience includes managing large teams delivering care in patients’ homes and holding a masters-level qualification or equivalent experience. Essential skills comprise strong communication, the ability to analyse financial and activity data, develop service policies and pathways, and work effectively with diverse stakeholders under pressure. The post is permanent, full-time, falls within Agenda for Change Band 8a with a salary of £57,528 to £64,750 per annum, and offers a pro-rata arrangement for part-time work.
